The beach at Guhagar extends from Asgoli a minutes walk away from our guest house to Baug almost 6 kms to its north!

Vyadeshwar temple located at the mouth of the pathway to the Guhagar beach is the most prominent temple amongst the scores of temples in Guhagar.

Valukeshwar Temple

Valukeshwar Devsthan is a very old temple and is believed to be from the times of 'puranas'. There is a pillar in the temple with an inscription of the name of Lokmanya Tilak. Valukeshwar Temple is also located just a minutes walk away from the guest house.

Durga Devi Temple

Durga Devi temple is a temple complex located a kilometer away from the Guhagar bus depot. Shri Durga Vyadeshwari Devi is believed to be the basic avataar of all the Devi "Shaktipiths". Durga Devi Temple is about 4 kms from the guest house.

Gopalgad Fort

This ancient fort is located near Anjanvel - 11 KM North of Guhagar beach, along the coast line near the Anjanvel Lighthouse. It is believed to be built at the start of 16th Century by the Siddis and was captured by Shivaji Maharaj in 1660.
